A 15-year-old boy from Gaya, Bihar, ended his life while talking to his female friend over a video call. Vivek Saha (the victim) originally hailed from Aurangabad but was living in Gaya in a rented accommodation.
The incident took place at Mustafabad locality in Anugarh Puri colony past midnight last week.
Case:
Vivek was a student of class 9, while the girl with whom he was on video call, was a student of class 8. Both are students of Secondary Delhi Public School. It was the girl who herself later informed about the incident to deceased’s cousin, Ratnesh.
The cousin who was living with Vivek immediately alerted the boy’s father, Vikas Saha, and informed him about the suicide. The victim’s family rushed for Gaya and after reaching his home, they approached cops.
The police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem to Gaya’s Anugarh Narayana Magadh Medical College and Hospital.
Complaint Filed Against Minor Girl
Saha has filed a complaint of abetment to suicide against the minor girl. Based on the same, an investigation has been initiated and a case has been registered against the girl and her family.
Background
Ratnesh and Vivek, both cousins, hailed from Aurangabad and lived in Gaya together. However, just three days ago, Ratnesh had gone to his hometown after having dinner together on January 12. The girl found out Ratnesh’s number and called to inform him about Vivek’s death. She got his number from a school friend as she urgently wanted to contact him after Vivek hanged himself.

Entire Saha family was present on the spot of the incident later that night. The door was locked from inside and when the same was opened, Vivek had hung himself from the roof of the home.
The father then filed a police complaint at around 2:30 am with the Rampur police station. He alleged that the girl instigated his son, after which he ended his life.
