A unique case of matrimonial dispute has come to the fore from Faridabad. A young man lived in a night shelter for eight long months after having a fight with his wife. Now, the police has traced him and got him back home.
Case:
An auto driver lived in Ballabhgarh with his wife and a child. After a heated argument with his wife, the husband left home and did not return for several days.
After many days passed, his family lodged a missing complaint with the police in July 2021. Finally, after 8 months, the police has been able to trace his whereabouts and brought him home.
The husband was so fed up with the quarrels that he decided not to return to his house, but instead was living in a night shelter for so many months.
Sube Singh, Spokesperson of the Police said that the missing person had a quarrel with wife over some issue. Angered by this, he left the house.
However, it was only after months of the pendency of the files, that the matter was transferred to the Crime Branch, post which a serious search commenced and the missing person’s whereabouts were known.
Crime Branch-in-Charge Sarjit said
With the help of sources and surveillance, the Crime Branch came to know that the youth was living in the night shelters near Badkhal flyover and Old Faridabad railway station in Faridabad. The young man would drive an auto during the day and go to sleep in the night shelters in the evening.
The police team searched, counselled and tried to convince him. After much persuasion, the young man agreed to go back home. After completing the legal formalities, the youth was handed over to his family members.
