Yet another incident of domestic violence on men has been reported from New Ashok Nagar area of Delhi.
In a domestic dispute between a couple last year, the wife broke her husband’s rib bone with a bat. The victim husband has also alleged that his wife even made him drink acid at the time of this attack. Based on the complaint of the man, the police has registered a case against the woman accused of physical violence. However, the cops are yet investigating the claim of acid attack on the man.
Case:
According to the police, the victim lives in Kondli with his family, however, since his work in the lockdown period had taken a halt, the family had been facing financial crises at home. This would lead to frequent quarrel between the husband and wife due to household expenses.
The man alleged that on the night of August 22 last year, when he was sleeping in his room, his wife put acid in his mouth. When he experienced tremendous burns, he tried to vomit it out. At the same time, the accused woman also attacked him with a bat and he fell on the floor. This assault by the woman also broke one of the ribs of husband’s chest.

Their neighbours immediately reported the matter to the police, who rushed to the spot and admitted the victim to a hospital. The man had been undergoing treatment since then.
On January 9, 2021, when he experienced improvement in his health, the husband was discharged from the hospital and subsequently, he went directly to a police station to record his statement.
The victim then filed a case against his wife and the police are investigating the matter.
