Chief Justice of India Sharad Arvind Bobde was speaking at a seminar in Tripura on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. He was discussing how the hallmark of great judges and institutions is that they are keener on justice.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of an e-Sewa Kendra at the High Court of Tripura, CJI Bobde, said while taking the decision to go electronic in the justice delivery system, he was ‘acutely conscious’ that it would make justice ‘technology-dependent’. However, he said, the other option meant was to shut down courts completely during the pandemic, which was an impossibility, especially for the High Courts and the Supreme Court of India.
While the CJI was amidst his speech, he had to face an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction. However, he did not stop in between, made adjustments and continued. Now, this could have happened with anyone anywhere, however, the video that went viral on twitter on December 25, showcased the hypocrisy of our Misogyny warriors who couldn’t stop mocking him, perhaps because he is a man and comments on men in such situation pass off as jokes and humour.

The article we are covering is purely from the perspective of how Men can be ridiculed, laughed upon and shamed if they get into such situations, while if we reverse the genders and people with verified twitter ticks would do the same, possibly they would have been charged by now for outraging modesty of a woman.
We tried searching many portals that often write endless articles on rampant sexism, misogyny, patriarchy, body shaming, name calling, etc. for women, however, none of them thought it was important to call out this sexism on the other side.
One can have their personal views about an individual who holds a position of power, however, if the same would have been done against a woman IPS officer, a female judge or a party’s top woman politician, who all possibly despise and disagree with, hell would have broken lose.

Dear Bobde Sir, If this article reaches you, we urge you to make all laws gender neutral. For eg. Maharashtra government has proposed Section 354E in their new Shakti Act – Harassment of Woman By Any Mode of Communication.
However, the act does not cover Men who could be equally ridiculed, mocked, harassed and abused online. Our judiciary has given a long rope to women since decades and in 2020, where feminists stand up at every word of a man calling him sexist and misogynyst, its time for our legal system to bring in stringent laws which will protect all humans fairly.
