Elder Sister, Boyfriend Murder 11-Year-Old Girl After She Caught Them Together

A horrific news was reported from Chhattisgarh’s Korba where a minor girl along with her boyfriend brutally murdered her 11-year-old sister to death, after she caught the two of them together. The incident took place on Friday night when their parents had gone to a neighbouring village to attend a festival.

The younger girl who happened to witness her sister with her boyfriend had to pay with life as the duo first suffocated the victim with a pillow and then hacked her with an axe. Initially, the elder sister told the cops that she had killed her sister after they had a fight over using a mobile phone. 

Here’s What Happened

On Friday, the 16-year-old girl’s parents had gone to a neighbouring village to attend a festival. At night, the 11-year-old girl woke up from her sleep and saw her teen sister with her boyfriend and was brutally murdered.

When the family returned on Saturday morning, they saw neighbours standing out of their home, looking at the dead body of the 11-year-old girl. The police was called and during interrogation, the 16-year-old girl mislead the officers stating that she had woken up early in the morning to find her sister playing games on her mobile phone. When the younger sibling refused to give back the phone, the 16-year-old claimed to have hacked her to death.

Statements Changed Frequently

The police, however, grew suspicious of the teenager as she was evasive and kept changing her statement. Later, when the police noticed tyre marks of a bike outside the house of the deceased along with a mask, their suspicions grew further.

Police then started probing the case from another angle and while checking the accused’s phone they found that her call details had been deleted. The cyber police later revealed that the girl had made calls to one number which is registered under Vinay Jagat’s name.

Katghora’s police station officer, Avinash Singh told TOI,

There was enough evidence and police traced down the used of that number identified as Vinay Jagat, 24, of of Bilaspur region who worked as regional of officer at a bank in Katghora.

During the investigation, police learned that the phone’s location was the same as the girl’s home at the time of the incident. They immediately went to Vinay’s house to probe, initially refused to have played a part in the murder however, later he broke down and confessed the crime.

Singh added,

Both accused came in contact with each other during Vinay’s weekly visits to house as he came to collect interest of the of the loan amount that girl’s father had taken from bank. They were in relationship for past three months.

The police have arrested both the accused under the POCSO Act, Juvenile Justice Act and IPC Act.
