Last week, everyone was shocked to learn how a minor boy shot his mother dead after she stopped him from playing the PUBG game. The matter that was reported from Lucknow has now taken a different turn.
As per latest report by Dainik Bhaskar, the reason behind this murder is not PUBG, but the mother’s alleged extra marital affair.
Background:
On June 4, a 16-year-old boy allegedly killed his mother Sadhana Singh as she stopped him from playing an online PUBG game. The teen was sent to a juvenile home after he allegedly shot his mother with his father’s licensed gun.
After several days of investigation, the report now says that the case had been allegedly fabricated by the police and the real reason behind the child murdering his own mother, was her alleged illicit affair with a local builder.
Accused boy’s father Naveen is posted in the army at Asansol. The boy was reportedly disturbed by his mother’s affair.

Cracks Started A Year Ago
When the minor son returned to Lucknow from his maternal uncle’s house in Varanasi, he had got hold of some call recording in his mother’s mobile. This is when the child realised that his mother had moved closer to another man, while his father was posted for duty.
It was getting difficult for the son to accept this situation and eventually, he called his father and informed him about everything. The boy also forwarded the call recording to his father as evidence. Subsequently, there were fights between the couple and the wife was unable to answer uncomfortable questions to the husband.
Rift Between Mother-Son Relationship
As days passed by, mother could not tolerate the son’s interference in her personal life and she started treating him badly, almost like a servant. She started assigning all household work to the son, right from cleaning, mopping, to washing clothes, besides other.
The son continued to bear everything, because his father was posted far away from where they lived. However, these instances created acute hatred in the mind of the child towards his mother. He would often narrate about his feelings to the father over the phone.

Father Planned Set Up
To find out the truth, Naveen sent his son and daughter to their relatives home for some days. Sadhana had no idea that this was a trap laid to catch her.
After the children left, she invited the builder for dinner the same evening. The builder also stayed back with Sadhana that night, while they were unaware that they were being watched.
Subsequently, the mother was exposed and the relationship soured between husband and wife. All this increased bitterness in the mind of the child.
Son’s Birthday
Meanwhile, in October last year, the mother’s alleged paramour visited their home with a big gift on the occasion of boy’s birthday. That night, once again there was a fight between Naveen and Sadhana over the phone.
Son Was Trained To Operate Pistol
Since Naveen was from Army, his son had been tutored earlier how to operate the gun.

Last Day
On June 3, a day before the murder, the son complained to his father how his mother had beaten him. The son then expressed how his mother should not live anymore.
Naveen tried to persuade his son not to take any such action and wait till he would come and solve everything. The son waited for his father’s call on 4th evening, where Naveen expressed that he could not manage train ticket for that day.
The boy could not bear the situation any longer and shot his mother dead that night.
Teen Could Have Been Framed
According to another report by India Today, the family members of the teen have been claiming that the child has been falsely framed in the murder case. The suspected accused has reportedly taken advantage of the child’s hatred towards his mother to execute the murder, adding that the murder had been done by someone else.
The family members of the teen have also claimed that he used his father’s licensed gun to fire shots in the air and took training to handle and use a pistol.
A family member, on the condition of anonymity, told India Today,
The boy underwent training on how to handle and use the pistol. He also told his father about the training and the latter asked him to fire shots in the air and practice the same many times.
The teen had told his relative’s son that he had fired shots in the air using the imported gun multiple times and also aimed at perfecting his shots.
The family members have also claimed that police have cooked up the entire PUBG theory. They said that they are not satisfied with the police investigation so far.
The teen threatened and offered Rs 5,000 to his friend to dispose of the body. However, his friend refused to do it and went home. The boy partied with his friends and also played cricket after committing the crime. The matter came to light when an unbearable stench started emanating from the victim’s body.
On June 7, the boy video-called his father and showed him the dead body of his mother. The son also showed the pistol he had used to allegedly kill his mother and spoke to his father for around 30 minutes.

A worker of the juvenile home told India Today,
Ever since the child has come here, he has been asking for mouthwatering dishes and has been pointing towards the mistake of the police in the case. He says he has landed here because the police officials are at fault. But the accused has also confessed to his crime, that he killed his mother and police have done the correct job by sending him here.
The accused told the magistrate,
The maximum punishment is death penalty and I am ready to face it. I killed my mother with a pistol and also partied the entire night with my friends.

- However, it is important to understand actions of parents and the consequences it can have on young impressionable children
- Adultery has been decriminalised and we are not judgemental about the same, as the act can be committed by either spouses depending on what situation they are undergoing
- In such situations, the couple needs to then decide whether such a relationship is worth continuing or parting amicably
- Of course, these things are easier said than done, and thus the case such as above, leaves us with a bitter example of how relationships, even that of a mother-son, can turn so ugly
