An unfortunate matter of #HusbandSuicide has been reported from West Bengal, where a man ended his life after learning of his wife’s alleged affair and also alleged humiliation from his in-laws.
Case:
Sudeb Dey from Khaspur village in Baghna Para of Kalna got married to one Tumpa from his village two years ago. The couple also has a daughter. However, the wife allegedly got involved with another young man.
On earlier two occasions, Tumpa eloped with her boyfriend, however Sudeb had convinced her and brought her back home to continue with their family life. But, the woman, after a point, would not even hesitate showing her intimate pictures with her boyfriend.
The husband then approached his in-laws and went to meet them, however, instead it was him who was shamed and humiliated.
Later on, the wife left with her boyfriend openly in front of everyone. Sudeb could not bear this embarrassment and pain and decided to end his life.
He died by suicide by hanging himself at his father-in-law’s house on Monday night. He also left a suicide note which read:
I was forced to choose this path out of shame and humiliation.
Police recovered the body and sent it for autopsy.
