In-Laws Assault Newly Married Husband By Inserting Chilli Powder & Karela In His Backside

In a shocking incident reported from Maharashtra, a 22-year-old man was brutally assaulted by his father-in-law and other members of wife’s family, when he visited their home to bring her back. The incident took place on Thursday night in Buldhana district of the state.

Case:

Victim got married to Ramrao Bhaurao Pawar’s (accused) daughter in 2020. However, after undergoing matrimonial dispute, the wife returned to her parental home three months ago. Husband had gone from Pune to his wife’s residence in Motala to bring her back. However, he was beaten and assaulted by several members of his wife’s family. 

The man was not just beaten up but horrifically, his in-laws also tied his hands, removed his trousers, underwear and inserted chilli powder and bitter gourd (karela) in his backside. They also beat him cable wires. Later, the son-in-law registered a complain with Borkhedi police alleging physical assault by wife’s family. 

The victim has named Ramrao Bhaurao Pawar, Vijay Ramrao Pawar, Ravi Ramrao Pawar, Raju Ramrao Pawar, Vikas Sarjerao Pawar, Devkabai, Chhayabai, Nandabai, Revabai, Kalubai and Devanand Rambhau Mohite as accused. A case has been registered against 11 persons including the man’s father-in-law. Four of them have also been arrested by the police.

Further investigation is being conducted by Sub-Inspector of Police Ashok Rokade under the guidance of Inspector Madhavrao Garud.

Argument Between Man & Father-in-Law 

Few days ago, the husband had taken some people with him to his in-laws’ place in order to speak about problems between him and his wife. This is when he had an heated argument with his father-in-law. This time when he returned to take his wife back, he was beaten and thrashed.
