Woman Axes 8-Month-Old Son Calling Him A Goat | Maternal Grandmother Tries Cover Up

A woman from Madhya Pradesh allegedly murdered her eight-month-old son in the Ashok Nagar district of Bhopal. The reason she gave for killing her own child was:

He was a ‘goat’.

Case:

The accused woman has been identified as Rashmi Lodhi, a resident of Churari village. She been arrested after her father informed the police about his daughter killing the grandson.

On Saturday afternoon, the woman left home with her baby. However, the mother returned hours later with her baby in her hands. The child was bleeding profusely and the woman mentioned that

He was a goat and I have sent him where he belongs.

The cops investigating the case said that the family members were terrified on seeing their daughter and her child in that condition. They also panicked and tried to cover up the matter.

Rashmi’s mother then wrapped the body of the baby in a cloth and rushed him to a hospital. They informed the authorities that the infant had fallen down the stairs and hurt himself badly. Pronouncing the child dead, the hospital handed over his body to the family.

However, on Sunday morning, Rashmi’s father, Jankiprasad went to the police station and revealed the truth to the cops. The child’s body was then sent for autopsy and the axe that the woman used to kill her baby was seized.

Police Investigation

The cops who are investigating the case asserted that the woman had placed her child on a road at the highway, and subsequently, she used and axe and caused multiple injuries on the baby’s neck.

According to the background, Rashmi was married to Laxman Lodhi two-years ago and the couple were living with their son in Indore. However, the accused had returned to her parent’s home couple of months ago in Churari village.

The investigating officers are suspecting that the accused woman is mentally unstable, and thus got her admitted to a hospital for a psychological assessment. The villagers suspect ‘sacrifice’ as the motive behind this child’s murder.
