A man from Gujarat was set on fire when he dared to enquire if his wife was having a relationship with someone else. However, fortunately he did manage to survive but with sever burns on himself.
Case:
The victim, identified as Dinesh Makwana (40), filed a complaint from Asarwa Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, after suffering serious burns on his hands, legs, hips and chest. He alleged that his wife, Dharmishtha (35), used to thrash him whenever he would try to confront her about her paramour.
Makwana mentioned in the complaint filed by him with the Sarkhej police station saying,
My wife works as a domestic help at various bungalows in Makarba and has an extramarital affair with a man named Mukesh Vala. Even my teenage daughter knows about it. Due to this, there used to be fights between us.

On the night of November 3, the victim got back home from his workplace. Thereafter, he told his wife that many people were talking and complaining about her having an affair with Vala.
After listening to her husband, Dharmishtha got angry and started beating him out of the blue. Later that night, she left his house and went to her mother’s place. However, it has been alleged by the husband that while he was asleep, the woman allegedly poured some inflammable liquid on him and set him ablaze.
Ahmedabad police received a complaint lodged against the woman by the husband on November 4, accusing her of trying to murder him by setting him on fire.
