A woman from Delhi’s Budh Vihar neighbourhood killed her middle-aged husband by strangling him as he was not divorcing her, while wife wanted to marry her boyfriend. After husband’s murder, she informed the man’s brother that he died from an illness. However, investigations revealed the truth and subsequently, the wife and her partner have been arrested.
50-year-old Krishna Tyagi, lived in Budh Vihar with his 30-year-old wife. The man was a property dealer by profession. The accused woman admitted Tyagi to the Brahma Shakti Hospital in the same locality in an unconscious condition. She mentioned to the doctors that her husband had been ill for a long time. However, the doctors declared him dead during the course of examination.
Deceased’s Brother Approached Police
After the doctors declared him Tyagi dead, the woman informed her elder brother-in-law, Jai Prakash Tyagi, that her husband had died due to an illness. However, Jai Prakash did not believe the woman and approached the police. He immediately took the matter to the authorities and told them that he suspected his brother was murdered.
When police arrived at the scene, they found marks on the neck of the deceased man. The marks were visible and it felt like he had been strangled. They found certain evidences that were suspicious and therefore, they sent the body for postmortem. An investigating in the case then followed.

In the post-mortem, it turned out that the man was strangulated, which made the police register a case under several sections including murder.
Married 8-Years Ago; Met Another Man Of Her Age
The investigation in the case revealed that the deceased man Krishna had married the accused woman eight years ago. However, the woman met 32-year-old Karan, resident of Muradabad in Uttar Pradesh, two years ago. The man turned out to be a distant relative of the wife, informed SHO Khemendra Pal Singh.
The officials further said that both of them became good friends due to similar age, and Karan too lived in Budh Vihar area. After developing a relationship with each other, they both wanted to get married. However, the woman’s husband would not divorce her, and this resulted in planning his elimination.
After meeting Karan, the woman desperately wanted to marry him. Hence, she asked her husband to divorce
her. However, despite requesting him many times, Krishna was not ready to divorce his wife. Thus, on Tuesday, the woman along with her paramour strangled and murdered Krishna Tyagi. The duo admitted to their crime during the interrogation.
