A shocking case has come to light from the city of Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh. The mother of an 8-year-old boy child has alleged that her son has been sexually assaulted by his female tuition teacher for the last two years.
While we saw huge outrage in the recent Hathras case, the story of a male victim almost seems untouchable by english media.
Case:
As reported by Etv Bharat, a woman who hails from Yamunapuram of the district used to send her 8-year-old minor son to a female tutor — a resident of the same neighbourhood — for taking classes from her. The mother said that she wanted her child to understand and study well, and hence she sent him to a lady teacher.
However, the woman had no clue how her child’s life was allegedly being ruined by the accused female. It is only when the mother started observing differences in child’s behaviour and his physical construct, did she realise that all was not well.
The mother in the video below has made serious charges against the lady tutor, stating that she has been giving heavy doses of medicine to her son. The concerned woman has been running around for justice since sometime now. Currently, Preeti Verma, member of Uttar Pradesh Child Rights Protection Commission, has taken charge of the case.
As reported by local media, the mother has been approaching district officers for the last one year to get justice for her boy. The woman wanted to file a case in October last year, however, she said that the teacher’s parents promised her to control their daughter and requested her to refrain from making any official complaint — so as to protect their respect and dignity in the society.
However, when the boy started feeling pain in his body, the mother went ahead and filed a legal complaint. It has been a year, and yet, the mother is seeking justice. As reported by ETv, the woman stated that the police has been constantly pressurizing her not to proceed with the case.
The mother has also claimed that her son has been experiencing various changes in his private parts, yet nobody is willing to understand this.
On Monday, the woman once again had a conversation with Verma, where the latter expressed that the matter should be taken seriously and must be investigated. Verma said that she has all the information in the case from the victim’s family.
The member of the Child Commission also praised the victim’s mother and her courage to seek justice for her son. State Child Rights Commission member also said that one could clearly understand what a mother was going through.
The City CO has been directed by Verma to look into the matter and take the actions required in the case. It has also been instructed that the officials should investigate the case in-depth as soon as possible. The case falls under POCSO, and hence, necessary actions should be taken. Verma has also ordered to investigate why the case was not filed and investigated.
After our tweet on the matter went viral, Bulandshahr police has posted their official response as below:
Concerning the present case no 823/19 in thana kotwali dehat with sections 323, 504, 506, 6 pocso act and 3(2) of SC ST act, as per the request by the complaint, the victim child has been sent for medical examination five times, however, all his reports have been found normal. We have also filed a requisition in FSL lucknow for polygraphic and brain mapping test of the mother and the accused, although no date has been given so far. Matter is under investigation and will be disposed off soon following the due process.
