46-Year-Old Delhi Businessman Murdered By Girlfriend, Lover & Her Mother

A 46-year-old man from Northwest Delhi was murdered by his girlfriend, fiancé and her mother after a dispute between all of them at the woman’s rented apartment.

All three accused have been nabbed by Delhi police.

Case:

Neeraj Gupta (46), a resident of Model Town, was a businessman by profession and had been in an extramarital relationship with his company employee Faisal (29) for last ten years. The woman’s mother Shaheen Naaz (45) wanted her to get married to another man and thus after her agreement, Faisal was engaged to one Juber (28).

Gupta objected to this alliance, and on November 13 he reached the woman’s home in northwest Delhi where there was an altercation between himself and the accused. Since then the businessman had gone missing.

Police Investigation

The cops received a complaint of Gupta being missing from Adarsh Nagar, and subsequently they went looking for him. Neeraj’s wife informed police that she suspected Faisal to be the mastermind behind her missing husband. She also confirmed to the cops that her husband and the woman were in an extra-marital relationship for past ten-years.

Faisal was interrogated in the matter, after which a case was registered against her, her mother and Juber under section 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person) of the Indian Penal Code.

Confession

Police Official Vijayanta Arya told media that the businessman was hit on his head with a brick by the fiancé, and also stabbed thrice in the stomach. Juber also later slit Gupta’s throat. Thereafter, Faisal and her mother helped the man to dispose off the deceased’s body.

The trio stuffed dead Gupta in a suitcase, boarded a train, and left the same in Gujrat’s Bharuch on November 18. An official said,

During the interrogation, Faisal disclosed that she worked for Gupta and was in an extramarital affair with him for the last ten-years. Her parents wanted to get her married to Juber and she got engaged to him. When she told this to Gupta, he discouraged her from marrying anyone and came to her rented house in Kewal Park extension in the area of Adarsh Nagar where heated arguments ensued between him and Juber, Faisal and her mother.

During the dispute, Gupta pushed Faisal, which infuriated Juber and he attacked Gupta, leaving him dead. After the murder, they took the body in a suitcase and reached Nizamuddin railway station in a cab.

The trio had an advantage since Juber works in the pantry department of Indian Railways. They then boarded the Rajdhani Express with the suitcase and lastly disposed the body near Bharuch in Gujarat.

The knife and the brick used in the crime have also been recovered. Investigation is still underway.
