A young man residing in the Amrapali Society of Vadodara hanged himself this morning after being fed up with constant domestic disputes with wife. The young man also left a suicide note detailing how his wife and mother-in-law kept harassing so much, that he was left with no other option but to end life.
The victim husband also clearly wrote that his death must be considered a murder and not suicide. He also pleaded for strictest punishment for his wife and her parents for pushing him to this extent.
Case:
31-year-old Shirish Hansmukhbhai Darji worked as a salesman in a private company. Besides this, Shirish was also studying law.
At the time of the incident this morning, the neighbours were suspicious why the man did not open his house for long. Later, Shirish was found hanging in the room. The police was informed immediately and upon investigation, they recovered a suicide note near his body.
In his last note, Shirish accused his wife Monika for keeping him away from his family since marriage. The note read:
I tried to convince her a lot, but she did not listen. I finally left my parents and brother in order to escape the daily fights and harassment. But even after that, Monica continued to harass me on one thing or the other.
Monica later wanted me to completely cut ties with my family. When I spoke to her parents, they also favoured their daughter. Monica used to threaten me that she would send me to jail in a false dowry or domestic violence case. I tried hard to control the situation, but now I have lost courage.
Advocate Mitesh Gohel, Gujarat, who works extensively for rights of men, reached out to ABP News (Ahmedabad) to get assistance in raising awareness of this #HusbandSuicide through their tv medium. In the audio, Gohel can be heard discussing, how media should also spread this case the way they did for suicide of Ayesha (gujarat). Shockingly, the lady operator just hangs up the phone.
