While living in the city of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, a woman who was a resident of Muzaffarnagar, was conspiring and blackmailing the soldiers in a honey trap set by her and gang. As reported by Amar Ujala, the accused woman not only trapped the officers, but also deceived her innocent family in the village.
Case:
The accused woman, along with one of her companions, has been sent to jail after their honey trap gang was busted. Security agencies are investigating the matter seriously as it includes army officers.
On the other hand, the Meerut police, on January 9, reached the village of the accused for further investigation and also for interrogating her family members. However, the cops learnt that the woman informed her family and the villagers that she was working for a big MNC in Gurugram.
According to the Nauchandi inspector, Sanjay Verma, the woman’s village is near Muzaffarnagar Jansath hence, they went there and gathered information about her. During the investigation, cops learnt that the woman had left her village a year ago, on pretext of getting a job with a multinational company in NCR.
When the parents of the woman visited her in custody, they were informed of all the activities that their daughter had been undertaking since the past year.
Investigation
The cops have been investigating the case and also recovered five mobiles from the accused woman. They are further looking for the number of army officers that have been honey-trapped by her with the help of those mobile phones.
The cops are also trying to ascertain the reason why only soldiers had been targeted and how it can affect the security of the country. Agencies are secretly investigating and the intelligence is also gathering information from the soldiers who were honey-trapped, while trying to gather evidence of the conversation they had with the woman.
Pornographic materials have been recovered from those 5 mobile phones. The woman was also managing her
social media accounts through these devices under different names. Photos and porn videos of several soldiers have been found from these phones.
The investigating officers are trying to find out which other men were targeted other than the soldiers stationed in the army camp at Haryana. The cops are also looking for three other people who were accompanying her.
It is believed that the woman’s network was spread to other states as well, and if this is the case, the investigation may take much more time to reveal all details.
