The Karnataka Police on Wednesday have arrested a woman and her lover, on charges of killing her 16-year-son in Bengaluru. The accused have been arrested by the jurisdictional Halasuru police.
Case:
The deceased boy has been identified as Nandu who was living with his single mom Geetha in Murphy Town. The woman had been residing separately from her husband since 6-years, following a family dispute.
Geetha had two children and earned a livelihood by doing household chores in the neighbourhood.
Social Media Addiction & Affair
Geetha was addicted to social media and got introduced to one Shakthi few months ago. The duo exchanged their numbers and later got into an affair with each other. Shakthi started visiting Geetha’s home often, police said.
However, victim Nandu objected to this very strongly. He fought with his mother for entertaining a stranger at home. Geetha discussed Nandu’s behaviour with Shakthi, and subsequently the two hatched a plan to kill son. Mother Geetha very much consented to the murder plan.
On Tuesday, Shakthi visited Geetha’s house and quarrelled with Nandu. The accused then stabbed him in the abdomen and chest. While escaping, the police arrested him and also took mother Geetha into custody. Investigation in the matter is currently on.
