My Niece Levelled False Sexual Assault Charges On My Father Since She Wanted To Teach Her Mom A Lesson

We have always heard women narrating stories of their ordeal – sometimes when they face it personally on themselves, or when they witness other members of family and friends go through the same.

However, when #MenToo speak up, the tales and horrors of relationships within the families, can be equally daunting. Here is one such story shared by a man, which may leave many questions unanswered.

His Story

Mahesh (name changed) lived in a family of four members, where his elder sister had an early love marriage while he was at school. The mother of the house passed away in 2015 and since then Mahesh had to juggle between managing the home and his aged father, who now lived alone. He shares,

I got my first job just when my mother left us forever. I could not leave my work, and also had to leave my father with a caretaker as there was no one to take care of him with his declining health, old age and lack of companionship after my mother’s demise.

Mahesh says that the only thing his old father would look forward to was frequent visits by his sister and Jiju (brother-in-law). He says,

Dad was very very fond of my sister and looked forward to them, including his granddaughter when they visited our home.

About his Niece

Mahesh shares an incident which changed things for the family completely. He says,

My sister’s daughter Tara (name changed) was in class 11th when my mother passed away. She is a mediocre student with her interest in everything except studies. I know because I have taught her science and maths.

On many occasions while teaching her, I had to scold her to keep her cellphone away as she was continuously communicating with multiple boy friends.

In 2017, Mahesh’s sister allegedly caught her daughter Tara in bed with a guy and scolded her. The mother then also employed a female driver for the teenager who would drive her to and fro from school and later college. Mahesh shares,

My niece hated her mother for this act and wanted to get back at her. She was studying in a college which projected very very strong feminist ideologies. In fact, I remember my niece telling me that her relationship with her boyfriend broke up because of her mother, and she wowed to break her mother’s most important relationship.

Sister Stops Visiting Our Home

In November 2018, the sister suddenly stopped visiting her parental home, which made both Mahesh and his father worried as they missed her. Brother tells us,

When I asked her, she told me that our father had inappropriately touched her daughter. She said she doesn’t want to see his face ever again. I was shocked.

Adding further he said,

I asked her for details and she said that it happened when the daughter went to wish the grandfather on his birthday. Fortunately, I have a CCTV camera in his room as I would keep a watch on the caretaker when I was at work. When I checked the footage of the date and time given by my sister, I could not find any such act narrated by Tara. 

Mahesh says, he literally begged his sister to have a look at the CCTV videos and he also emailed them to her, however, the woman refused to see any evidence and blindly trusted her daughter. She subsequently decided to cut all ties with our father. He shares,

In fact, she stopped communicating with me also after that day as she believed that I supported papa ji (father) and accused her daughter Tara of lying.

Father Dies Without Meeting Daughter

Things can change drastically for a family, when miscommunication or false truths are planted. Sadly, Mahesh’s father passed away last year without meeting his daughter and her family. Mahesh tells us,

My father passed away in November 2020 after pleading and longing to see his daughter for entire two-years. However, she did not even come for his cremation. I spoke to my Jiju many times, who was kind enough to see the recording, although he said that he was helpless.

According to Mahesh’s brother-in-law, Tara was the biggest weakness of his (Mahesh’s) sister, and she would not believe anyone else except her own daughter. Mahesh concludes saying,

I am now alone as I never got married and chose to look after my father instead. After seeing the kind of accusations that women today are levelling against anyone, without evidence, I am myself scared of marriage. God help men!
