Karan Mehra Divorce | Haven’t Seen My Son Since More Than 100 Days While Nisha & Her Brother Are Living In My Home Aaram Se

Few months ago, the ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actor Karan Mehra was arrested by the police after his wife Nisha Rawal lodged an FIR against him accusing him of taking her money and beating her up. Karan was granted bail a day later after his arrest, a day after his arrest. Nisha Rawal also accused Karan Mehra of having an extra-marital affair.

Child Custody With Mother

Nisha Rawal and Karan Mehra have been living separately after that incident and their son Kavish Mehra is with his mother. Nisha also celebrated her son’s birthday, while Karan was seen posting a picture of him and a cake (minus the son) on his Instagram account.

At the time of their son’s birthday, Karan also alleged that he had brought gifts for his son and shared their pictures on social media. But according to Nisha Rawal, the gifts never reached Kavish. While speaking to TOI, Nisha Rawal divulged details of her divorce and also alleged that Karan Mehra did not even call their son once after his birthday.

Don’t Want Alimony: Nisha Rawal

During her interaction with the media, Nisha Rawal said she did not want any alimony from Karan, however, just wants the sole custody of her son. She also revealed that by doing so, Karan will be able to meet his son on a regular basis but however, the ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actor is not agreeing to it.

Nisha Rawal told Bombay Times,

I don’t want any alimony. What will he provide me with that I haven’t given him? We built everything together. I started earning at a very young age and supported him throughout even before he became a part of Yeh Rishta. I have done so much work and whoever I collaborated with will vouch for the fact that Karan was in charge of the commercials.

She further said,

He called just once on Kavish’s birthday (June 18) on an actor’s friend’s number to wish him. He posted a picture of gifts he had ordered for Kavish on his birthday. I want to know why those gifts never reached our son. Let me tell you, he hasn’t called Kavish even once since his birthday.

Karan’s Side

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Karan too has opened up sharing his side of the story. Karan quoted:

It has been more than three months and I am fighting the battle. The matter is subjudice so I don’t want to talk much about it. I have not seen Kavish since more than 100 days, not able to enter my home or take my belongings. It has been an emotional, disturbing and painful time for all of us. We are fighting it as a family.

Mehra asserts that everyone in his family, including his parents, were falsely implicated in the case and it has been tough. He quoted,

It is not right to put my parents through all this, especially when my dad is a heart patient. It is quite disturbing. The proceedings, the process and the fight are not easy. I am out of my house while she and her brother are in the house, aaram se.

Karan who has been shooting for his Punjabi show currently, said this is what keeps him “going and is distracting”. The actor also shared that he has proof of every implication and will share them with the authorities “at the right time”. He explains,

You can’t go head on in such matters. One can say anything about anyone but it doesn’t make it the truth. I don’t have to counter and give my safai to every allegation and not doing so, doesn’t make me wrong. It doesn’t have to be a public trial. Kavish will see stories online of our fights. Things are being handled legally and I will let things take their course.
