A man from Uttar Pradesh was seen gasping for breath in his last video uploaded on social media, blaming
his wife and in-laws for his state.
During his last moments, a 28-year-old man from Moradabad shot a video on Tuesday, alleging harassment from wife and her family. Munish Sharma, had already consumed poison while naming his wife Mohini and his in-laws to be held responsible for his death.
Sharma worked as a manager at a hotel in the Civil Lines area of Moradabad. The man used to live separately with his wife in Ramganga Vihar, and the woman had left home following a dispute between the couple.
Munish also left a message for his own family to ensure that the guilty are punished as per law. Nawal Marwah, SHO of Civil Lines, Moradabad, said,
The incident happened on Friday night when one Munish Sharma, a resident of Ramganga Vihar, Civil Lines, allegedly committed suicide. He was living alone at his residence as his wife had gone to her sister’s place in Delhi after a dispute between the couple.
He further stated,
On learning about the incident, police rushed to the spot and the body was sent for postmortem in which, cause of death was due to consumption of poison.
The video left by man was only recovered after couple of days of his death. Investigating officer said,
Two days after the alleged suicide, his family found the video in the phone where Sharma was consuming poison while recording it and also blaming his wife and in- laws.
Speaking about the FIR been registered against the accused, Marwah quoted,
An FIR has now been registered against four accused persons, his wife, father-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law under section 306 (abetment of suicide) of the IPC.
