Threats and filing alleged false rape / molestation cases is not limited against Men of any age. When the laws completely favour women, combined with a corrupt biased system, we are left with deaths of Men, like in the case below.
The case reported from Phagi police station in Jaipur district reveals another side.
Case:
The local police were questioning a 75-year-old man named Khemchand Bairwa in Jaipur on January 26, when the man breathed his last. The reason behind the death of this elderly man is not clear while the cops are still waiting for post mortem report.
On the other hand, Bairwa’s daughter Kamlesh has narrated her side of the story that allegedly led to the death of her father. The woman alleged,
The police has been harassing my father by asking him to visit the police station for questioning since the last 8-months. The investigating officers used to chill by sitting and drinking tea with the accused.
The cause of his death is yet unknown, however, the same will be clear once the post-mortem reports are out.
Background
The victim, Kemchand Bairwa who was a resident of Nari Kheda had a daughter, Kamlesh, and no son. Hence, he adopted his sister-in-law’s son, Bharat.
Bairwa owned around 24 acres of land. 16 acres were to be given to Bharat, while 8 acres were meant to be given to Kamlesh. However, there seemed to be a dispute between the father and the adopted son due to this future division of property.
Thereafter, Bharat filed a case against Khemchand accusing him of molesting his wife. The elderly man had to remain in judicial custody for a few days. Later, the father also filed a case of crop theft against his adopted son.
Kamlesh alleged that the investigating officers were calling her father for the last 8-months for questioning in the same case and this harassment could have resulted in his death.
