Former Miss India Second Runner Up 2000 and Bollywood Actor Dia Mirza has announced her separation from husband Sahil Sangha after five years of marriage.
Dia shared the news on social media on Thursday via her Instagram account, stating how an eleven years of relationship had come to an end mutually, however, they still continued to remain friends. The actor has also requested the media to respect their privacy at this time and also made it clear that they won’t be speaking on the matter anymore.
“After 11 years of sharing our lives and being together, we have mutually decided to separate. We remain friends and will continue to be there for each other with love and respect. While our journeys may lead us down different paths, we are forever grateful for the bond that we share with each other,” she shared in a post today.

In 2014, Dia and Sahil got hitched in an Awadhi style wedding at a lavish ceremony in a farmhouse at Ghitorni, Delhi. The two dated each for a long time before they decided to walk down the aisle. The now-former couple does not have any children together. However, they do share a production house together called ‘Born Free Entertainment’.
Barely days ago, on July 16, Dia wished Sahil on his birthday on Instagram in an adorable post, and thus her news of separation came as a shock to many friends and her followers.
Relationships are destined and no matter how many years you dated or lived together, does not become the benchmark for eternal love.
Divorce is not taboo as long as both spouses decide to mutually end the relationship and move on with their lives happily. Here’s wishing both Dia and Sahil a new and sunny start for their respective journeys ahead.
