We thought only the youngsters today end up at police stations and subsequently divorce over trivial matters. However, in a story reported from Ahmedabad, a senior citizen couple ended up in a police case after a fight over the use of ‘bathroom’.
66-year-old Sabbir Gandhi runs a travel business in Paldi (Ahmedabad). On Monday, Sabbir filed a police complaint at the Vejalpur police station, alleging his wife abused and threatened him with a false case, over a dispute of the use of their bathroom.
Gandhi who lives in the Rahenuma Society in Juhapura, said that the incident took place when he got ready and was about to leave for work. In his FIR, Sabbir stated,
After I bathed and dressed, and was about to leave for work, my wife Jolly came to my bedroom and told me she wanted to bathe in my bathroom. I said to her that she has a separate bathroom in her bedroom, and asked why she wanted to use mine.
