WATCH VIDEO | Hyderabad Constable Runs In Front Of Ambulance To Make Way In Traffic

Many videos go viral, but the best ones are those that bring about positivity through its outreach on social media. Recently, a cop from Hyderabad was hailed when he ran around a couple of kilometres to pave the
way for an ambulance to pass through.

Netizens couldn’t stop praising the policeman for his presence of mind and also for going beyond the call of duty.

His Story

Usually, evenings are a time when the traffic in most cities is at its peak. Likewise, on November 2  between 6 pm to 7 pm, the city of Hyderabad witnessed a huge traffic jam. This is when Constable G. Babji saw that an ambulance was struggling to get through the packed road.

Instantly, Babji went all the way towards the ambulance and started running in front of the same, so that the emergency vehicle could reach its destination in a timely manner.

As reported by the TOI, Babji said that he found the ambulance stuck in traffic between GPO Junction, Abdis and Andhra Bank, Koti. He said,

It was around 7 pm when the ambulance reached GPO junction. Noticing that it got stuck in traffic, I realised that I had to do something. As time was precious, I ran towards Andhra Bank and pleaded with the motorists to make some space for the ambulance.

Appreciating the cop’s sincerity while running to help the struggling ambulance, some motorists even started clapping for him as he set an example. Babji said,

Many motorists patted me and said ‘good job’. It gave me immense satisfaction.

A person sitting in the ambulance shot the video and then uploaded it. The cop was felicitated and praised by IPS officer Anil Kumar and he also shared the viral video of the police officer through his Twitter account. His tweet read:

Babji has also been honoured with a momento. The appreciation ceremony was shared through the official Twitter account of Hyderabad City Police that read:
