A policeman ended his life at a hotel at Bhud intersection in Bulandshahar of Uttar Pradesh. He has left behind a five-page suicide note addressed to his family and one full page directed to his wife.
On a touching note, he also penned one page to the SSP and his fellow colleagues thanking them for being family in the last few years.
Case:
The deceased officer has been identified as Sunil, who expressed what he had been going through since long, which led to him taking this final step.
Not just Sunil’s wife, but all his colleagues too were left in tears after reading his note.
According to the victim, a female constable named Pooja was posted on Dial 112. She was allegedly harassing him, which eventually became unbearable for Sunil. The deceased in his note alleged that while he tried hard to survive and live for his family, the woman repeatedly kept threatening him. Sunil also stated that he felt “very scared” and was “unable to eat or drink” anything.
Sunil further indicated that he is aware that killing himself was an extreme step, however, he felt like living a dead life already due to constant harassment by the accused woman constable. He wrote,
I am very sad, and I understand that I am leaving you all.
The victim alleged that he had been repeatedly threatened with false cases and urged all to believe that he was not a “characterless” person. He further added that he should end his life rather than spoil his honour by her false allegations. Calling out the woman constable, the victim wrote,
You ruined my family. You too will never be happy. I pray to God that you should be ruined too. I’m fed up with you, so I’m dying.
He also requested understanding from his own people explaining to them how he was living a fearful life. He added,
I am deeply saddened by the atrocities of that woman.
He further wrote an emotional message for his wife stating,
I love you very much and take care of the children.
The officer’s wife is in a bad condition now. She had been fainting again and again after constantly crying since the news broke out.
