How many marriages do you know that have been called off? What could be the possible reasons? Non compatibility between the couple, families not getting along, differences in ideology and so on… However, in a bizarre twist of events, a wedding scheduled for two youngsters who hail from Surat, came to a halt after the bride’s mother and groom’s father reportedly eloped with each other.

According to a recent media report, the young couple was scheduled to tie the knot in February this year, but the sudden elopement of their respective parents have left them with shattered dreams. While both the families have lodged a missing complaint, the run-away parents are nowhere to be found since January 10.
Ramesh (name changed) and Sarita (name changed) were good friends and knew each other since their young age. According to the report, the groom’s father is aged 48-year-old and is a resident of Katargam area, and the bride’s mother is a 46-year-old woman, who lives in Navsari. The duo had been neighbours for many years. Sarita’s current husband is a diamond artisan. Ramesh works as a textile businessman and has deals in property.

A relative of both families said:
They knew each other since they lived in the same society. Some of their close friends informed us after they eloped that they had a relationship in the past too.
The older couple has become a talk of the town after the photographs of them was posted on social media platforms. However, we restrain from publishing the same to maintain their privacy.

The would-be bride and groom were preparing for their marriage since a year that they got engaged, however, the elopement of their parents have now left them in an embarrassing situation. All is fair in love and war…….and the young couple must understand the feelings of each of their parents, including the one’s left behind and what they are going through.
