Wife, Her Lover Throw Acid On Husband & Burn His Genitals; Man Critical

Yet another case of attempt to murder husband by wife — due to her illicit affair — has come to the fore from Uttar Pradesh. The incident has been reported from Banda district and the details are chilling.

Case:

The victim has been identified as Mahendra Kotwali, a resident of Phukni village of Baberu police station area of Banda district. Mahendra used to work with his wife as a labourer and lived in the countryside.

The husband mysteriously disappeared and a couple of days later, some passerby spotted him in the forest of Chitrakoot and informed the police. Subsequently, police and the victim’s family got the man admitted to a hospital.

Mahendra is now fighting for his life, while his brother claims that it was his sister-in-law (brother’s wife) who threw acid on the victim’s body. He also alleged that the woman also harmed her husband’s genitals by throwing acid. The victim has several injury marks all over his body. Mahendra has also named his wife as accused in his official statement.

The woman is allegedly having an extra-marital affair and she had called her husband to the forest where her lover and self planned the attack. After hurting him brutally, the duo thought Mahendra was dead and thus dumped him there itself.

Acid Attack On Husband

Wife along with her paramour threw acid on husband’s body, thereby letting him burn to death. However, the husband somehow miraculously survived, but is now battling for life at a hospital. His condition is critical.

The police has arrested the accused wife and is interrogating her.

The brother of the victim informed officials that Mahendra used work as a labourer to support his family. He went missing two days ago. Thereafter, his family looked for him all over the place, however, was not able to find him.

After a couple of days, the family found the man when Chitrakoot police contacted them. They immediately rushed to the district hospital and admitted him for treatment.

Wife’s Affair

The woman is allegedly in a relationship with one Pradhan Gupta, who is living in the Kotwali countryside. The motive behind acid attack on husband was this relationship which wanted to eliminate the husband.

Additional Superintendent of Police, Mahendra Pratap Chauhan said,

The victim’s wife took him to Chhanera village in the Kotwali countryside stating that they were going to get LIC money. After taking him there, the wife along with her paramour threw acid on him.

The woman has been taken in for interrogation, while the cops are searching for her lover.
