A 24-year-old woman from Pune has been arrested by local police for allegedly killing her live-in partner. The accused has been identified as Rohini Yanute.
Case:
Sonal Dabhade (victim) in his late 20s was in a live-in relationship with Rohini and the two were working in different private companies in Pune, Maharashtra. The couple was also preparing for competitive examinations, according to a report in Indian Express.
Murder
Following a quarrel on August 29, Rohini allegedly strangled Sonal to death at their Hadapsar residence. The police were later informed about the incident and they took the body to the hospital for autopsy.
Police said the accused woman neither informed cops about the cause of Sonal’s death nor to the victim’s relatives.
Rohini allegedly told Sonal’s relatives that he died of natural causes but the post-mortem report narrated a different story.
Police reportedly said that the two met during their preparations for competitive examinations and started living together in a live-in relationship. On the day of the incident, the accused allegedly pushed Sonal and he fell to the ground. Later, Rohini allegedly strangled him.
