A woman living separately from her husband was murdered in her Ahmedabad home on July 23, 2022. The matter is under investigation and no accused has been named currently.
Case:
47-year-old Manisha Dudhela was found dead at her residence in Vejalpur on Saturday afternoon. Vejalpur police have registered a case of murder and started probe. The body bore multiple stab wounds on neck and shoulders, investigators said.
The victim was living alone at Shrinandnagar II society and working for a private shop in Memnagar. Her mother, Lakshmi Kar, who lives in the same society, discovered the body and registered a complaint.
A Vejalpur police official informed TOI,
The case came to light when those living nearby complained about a stench emanating from the flat. The body may have been in the residence for about four days, based on the state of decomposition.
Primary investigation revealed that she married Radhakrishna Dudhela in Hyderabad in 2014, but after marital discord, started living in Ahmedabad. She had been living at the same address since 2015.
The officer added,
She was getting alimony of Rs 40,000 every month, in accordance with a court order.
According to the neighbours, Manisha was not seen for past four days, which indicated that she could have been murdered on July 19.

Officials said they will examine CCTV footage from near her residence.
Different angles are being probed to ascertain the motive of the crime. We will also question the victim’s mother.
