A husband from the capital of Uttar Pradesh ended his life last week since his wife left home along with children.
On Wednesday, in Gosai Ganj town of Lucknow, a 28-year-old man hanged himself due to a family feud. Hemant alias Putan, a resident of Mohanlal Ganj road, was found dead by his mother when she saw him hanging from a ceiling fan at his home.
As reported by Dainik Bhaskar, it is alleged said that the couple had a fight post which the wife was angry and left him with the children for her maternal home. According to the report, the deceased husband had beaten his wife Usha on Monday and subsequently the woman on Tuesday had left the residence.
Hemant went to sleep in his room on the same night, however, he did not wake up next morning, so his mother went to his room to check on him. This is when she saw him ended his life.
The family reported the matter immediately to the Gosai Ganj Police. Cops reached the spot and sent the body to post-mortem. The police is still investigating the reason for his suicide and the matter is being investigated.
As a portal, we do not support beating either spouses, however, we must ascertain mental trauma that men go through before taking extreme steps.
In another similar story, a 35-year-old auto-driver identified as Ramanjaneya ended his life by hanging himself in Nelamangala in Karnataka. He was found dead by his mother and neighbours who broke the door to enter the house to check on him.
The deceased left a suicide note stating that his wife, Bhavya had left home with their children but the man wanted them to live with his mother, Rangamma.
The couple had recently shifted from Bengaluru to Nelamangala, and the wife did not like the change. They had fought over the same, so she left the home with their children. Based on a complaint, police was investigating the matter.
