41-year-old man allegedly ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling fan of his house in east Uttam Nagar, Delhi. Police also recovered a suicide note from the spot purportedly written by the man which revealed that he took the extreme step of killing himself due to a strained relationship with his wife, reported PTI.
It was found that the wife of the deceased had gone to Switzerland with their children and had blocked him on social media, which allegedly became a reason for his depression.
As per PTI reports, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Shankar Chaudhary said a call was received at Bindapur police station on Thursday morning. Upon receiving the information, police reached the spot and found the body in a decomposed state.
The deceased has been identified as Umesh Dhar Trivedi, an employee with multilingual news service United News of India (UNI).
Further investigations are on.
